James R. Haffner is a Partner with Kitson, Haffner & Hyde, LLP. His areas of practice include matrimonial and family law, estate planning and administration. Mr. Haffner, a College of the Holy Cross graduate, received his Juris Doctor from Fordham University School of Law and has graduated from the Houston Family Law Trial Institute. During law school, Mr. Haffner was a staff member of the Fordham Journal of Corporate and Financial Law and a recipient of the Archibald R. Murray Public Service Award, which he earned representing immigrants in housing disputes with predatory landlords. He served as a research assistant to the Honorable Evan J. Wallach of the United States Court of International Trade and a judicial intern for the Honorable Vanessa L. Bryant of the United States District Court for the District of Connecticut. Mr. Haffner brings his passion for service to others to his approach to family and matrimonial disputes and in assisting clients navigate the difficult legal landscape to reach the best result possible. Mr. Haffner assists clients in estate planning and administration matters including preparation of wills, living wills, healthcare proxies, and powers of attorney to effectuate a clients’ wishes. Janice Roven has been practicing law for over 35 years. Matrimonial and divorce clients take comfort knowing that she was involved in her own custody battle, which provided her with insight into the client’s perspective in a separation and custody struggle. Her post-custody reflection on the turmoil, the hostilities, the negotiations and the resolutions that arise in the divorce process make her uniquely qualified to meet her clients’ needs, both in and out of the courtroom. In her insurance defense practice, Janice has represented physicians and hospitals in personal injury and medical malpractice cases. She has represented and sued pharmaceutical companies in pharmaceutical products liability cases. Janice is one of the few women lawyers in New York State with a Master’s Degree in Litigation, which she obtained at Emory University School of Law. She previously earned her law degree from Emory and completed the National Institute of Trial Advocacy Program. She graduated with Honors in Political Science from Barnard College, Columbia University.

Jared DeRosso focuses his practice primarily on divorce and other family law matters. Working out of the firm's office in New City, New York, he provides representation to clients throughout Rockland County and the surrounding Hudson Valley. Throughout his career, Mr. DeRosso has appeared in many different courts in the State of New York, including in Rockland, Westchester, New York, Bronx, Kings, Queens, Suffolk, Orange, Dutchess, and Sullivan Counties and has argued before the Appellate Division, Second Department in Brooklyn, New York. Jared has been admitted to practice before all New York state courts since 2013. Jeffrey is one of the founding members of Stempel, Catterson, LoFrumento, Carlson, Biondo, LLP. He commenced his legal career in 1998 specializing in all aspects of matrimonial and family law litigation, including, but not limited to: divorce, custody, support, equitable distribution, complex business valuations, modification and enforcement issues, and the negotiation and preparation of pre-nuptial agreements, post-nuptial agreements, separation agreements, and stipulations of settlements. Jeffrey has represented, and assisted in the representation of, numerous high profile and celebrity clients. He has extensive experience with respect to complex business valuations involving multi-million dollar wage earners and business owners. Jeffrey’s matrimonial and valuation articles have been published in the New York State Bar’s Family Law Review, The Suffolk Lawyer and The Nassau Attorney.
