Mr. Knoster received his undergraduate education from the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia, where he earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Process Management and Consulting, He also obtained a marketing concentration as well as a Minor in Classical Civilizations. During his time at school, Mr. Knoster was recognized multiple times on the Dean’s List for his academic accomplishments. Mr. Knoster earned his Juris Doctorate from the West Virginia University College of Law where he graduated fifth in his class and received the distinction of Order of the Coif – an honor only given to the top ten percent of a graduating law class and only after candidate approval by the college faculty. While at the West Virginia University College of Law, Mr. Knoster also received six CALI awards for achieving the highest grade in a class for that semester and was a member of the elite United States Supreme Court Litigation Clinic.

Since joining Arquilla & Poe in early 2012, Michael Poe’s practice has focused on domestic relations and family law. Mr. Poe has extensive experience in the litigation of child custody, visitation and support issues; spousal support; equitable distribution of marital assets and debts; and the negotiation and preparation of property settlement agreements. Mr. Poe is also well versed in issues of military retirement, disability pay, the Survivor Benefit Plan, the Uniformed Services Former Spouses Protection Act and the Servicemembers Civil Relief Act. Mr. Poe is a graduate of the William & Mary School of Law, where he was a member of the William & Mary Environmental Law & Policy Review as well as the school’s Domestic Violence Clinic.

Rachel L. Virk has been a practicing Family Law Attorney in Northern Virginia since 1990. Ms. Virk earned her initial Certification as a Mediator by the Judicial Council of Virginia in 2001, and has been continuously certified and mediating since. She is Certified to mediate at the highest Circuit Court Family level. Ms. Virk completed her training as a Collaborative Law Practitioner in 2005.
