Darrylnn started in the real estate industry in 1999 as an assistant to top agents and brokers in Louisiana. Darrylnn left her hometown, New Orleans, to complete her undergraduate degree at Georgia State University in Atlanta where she graduated at the top of her class with a double-major in Political Science and Women’s Gender and Sexuality Studies. She continued her education at the Atlanta’s John Marshall Law School. While in law school, Darrylnn was an intern at a top real estate settlement firm where she found her passion as a settlement agent. Darrylnn has managed hundreds of settlements from pre-processing to post-closing, completed document preparation, and conducted title searches to produce title abstracts all while delivering quality service to her clients. After graduating law school, Darrylnn relocated to Washington, DC where she worked as a settlement officer for a local top firm. Darrylnn’s goal is to help individuals understand the sometimes-complex closing process. She is detailed oriented and thorough which allows her to offer a refined approach to everyone she comes in contact with. Darrylnn enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, and helping others.

Kate Polizzi has been an associate with the firm since becoming barred in 2008 and is now a member. Prior to becoming an attorney, she managed a title company and duties included reviewing title searches and clearing title defects; conducting settlements and processing commercial closings. Continuing her work in the real estate field, her law practice now focuses on commercial, real estate and lending transactions, representing lenders, developers, homebuilders and borrowers in the DC Metro area. She has represented national, regional and local lenders in an array of financing transactions including real estate acquisition, development, and/or construction loans, secured and unsecured commercial lines of credit, and loan restructurings, refinances and workouts. As a licensed settlement agent, Mr. Fox has a noted expertise in title disputes, and his Continuing Legal Education Seminars (CLEs) on curing complex title defects with real estate have received national recognition. Mr. Fox’s sophistication in this subject matter is reflected in the fact that he has handled more than 3,000 commercial real estate transactions for multi-national entities like Exxon Mobil Corporation. Additionally, Mr. Fox has been practicing trademark law since 1993 and has intellectual property clients from Hawaii to Connecticut, and has successfully prevailed before the United States Patent & Trademark Appeals Board. In addition to his trademark experience, he also has extensive experience in intellectual property transfer and licensing joint ventures.
