Alex Heidt has spent over 25 years in the federal government and commercial contracting business market. Prior to establishing the Heidt Law Firm, Alex Heidt worked for several of the countrys largest defense contractors such as Orbital Sciences Corporation, Lockheed Martin Corporation, Harris Corporation, and Alion Science and Technology Corporation. Alex Heidt has a broad and diverse background in law, finance, business development and P&L managment. He has an extensive contract drafting and negotiation background, and has held major negotiations both nationally and internationally. Alex Heidt played a significant role in the valuation, due diligence and negotiation of several of Lockheed Martin’s and Harris’s acquisitions.

PJ Harris advises clients on mergers and acquisitions, private equity and independent sponsor transactions, and a wide range of corporate matters. He represents public and private companies in mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, platform and add-on acquisitions, leveraged buyouts, and other complex strategic transactions. PJ counsels business owners and management teams on corporate governance and operational issues throughout the life cycle of a company—from formation and growth to exit. Before joining McGuireWoods, PJ practiced corporate law in Charlottesville, Virginia, representing emerging growth companies. His prior experience also includes co-founding and operating a software-as-a-service platform and advising on strategic transactions at a Big Four professional services firm. PJ currently serves as a member of the Clean Energy Advisory Board for the Commonwealth of Virginia.
