Distinguished Lawyer

Personal Injury Law

110 Broadway suite 550, San Antonio, TX 78205, USA

As a third-generation attorney, I believe it's safe to say that practicing law is in my blood. It seems as if the legal field is just part of my genetic makeup — and that includes not only the talent and skill it takes to be a successful, efficient attorney but the passion to pursue law in a manner that truly reflects the ideas of liberty, justice, and truth. In 1977, I graduated with my Juris Doctor from the University of Texas - School of Law. Four years prior, I received my Bachelors of Science in economics from Duke University. I believe that my undergraduate degree is one of the many tools that shaped the philosophy of my practice and the area of law I work in today. Personal injury can be absolutely devastating on a person's life, not to mention the lives of that person's family members. Whether they depend on his or her care financially or intrinsically, seeing someone who has such a high impact on the quality of your life hurt and injured is traumatic — especially when those injuries were caused by someone else's negligence. With all that has to be overcome during this time, I don't believe financial burden should be a hardship that's added to the list of hurdles. This idea is why I launched my own firm over 40 years ago in 1978. My desire is to help people who truly need it. Where money is concerned, there are a few ways I demonstrate this desire. For one, consultations are absolutely free. There is no reason why someone should be charged a fee for simply seeking out information. When you schedule a consultation with me, I'm glad to provide the information you need to get headed in the right direction. In addition. I offer contingency-based payment plans. This means that you aren't obligated to pay me a single red cent until we you receive the full and fair compensation you deserve.

12444 Powerscourt Dr suite 150, St. Louis, MO 63131, USA

Tom Wilmowski is widely considered one of Missouri and Southern Illinois’s leading personal injury lawyers. Tom prides himself on using his inside knowledge of the insurance industry to obtain maximum value — and often more — for his clients. Tom brings nearly a decade of experience representing insurance carriers and some of the nation’s largest trucking companies. His in-depth understanding of their tactics and strategies, coupled with his Class A Commercial Driver’s License obtained in 2010, allows him to effectively advocate for his clients, ensuring they receive the compensation they deserve. Tom firmly believes that each claim is unique and demands its own strategic plan. Unlike many personal injury attorneys who delegate claims to non-attorney staff, Tom is personally involved from the initial intake through settlement, post-trial motions, and appeals. This hands-on approach ensures that his clients receive the attention and care they deserve. Tom was born and raised in the Chicago suburb of Homewood, where he graduated from Homewood-Flossmoor Community High School. He graduated with honors from Mizzou with degrees in Journalism and Political Science. He also received his J.D. from the University of Missouri School of Law. Throughout his career, from law school clerking during summers to the present, Tom has been on both sides of injury law — both in defense and helping clients get the results and insurance settlements they deserve. He and his wife, Allyson, reside in St. Louis County with their two daughters, Tabitha and Beatrice, and their Old English Sheepdog, Martha.

Medical Malpractice Law

6055 Lakeside Commons Dr, Macon, GA 31210, USA

In my 6 years as a critical care nurse, I was well known for my relentless persistence on behalf of my patients. Since 1994, I have built the same reputation as a medical malpractice and personal injury attorney. Originally from Mississippi, I pursued a nursing career because I was interested in helping people and making their lives better. In short, I wanted to heal their hurts! However, I became disenchanted with nursing after watching a fellow nurse blamed for a doctor’s mistake. Around the same time, an attorney hired me to help him decipher some medical records for a case. Impressed with my knowledge and analytical skills, he encouraged me to go to law school. I chose to represent plaintiffs because they, like my patients, need something fixed or healed. They also need information about the legal process, why things happen the way they do, what their options are, how settlements are reached and the likelihood of obtaining a trial verdict. Ultimately, I just wanted to continue to change people’s lives for the better. I have successfully handled or helped handle more than 1,000 cases for individuals and/or families in 27 years. My nursing background provides me with the knowledge to understand my clients’ injuries, medically, and how their quality of life has been affected as well as that of their caregivers. I also understand exactly how the doctor, nurse, or hospital may have failed their patient. My medical background and my experience in interpreting medical records gives me an edge with juries, who instinctively realize that I understand the medical information and expert witness’ testimony, and can effectively translate that information for them. In addition to my RN certification and law degree, I hold a Master of Business Administration (MBA), which gives me a more thorough understanding of the financial aspects of my clients’ cases so that I can provide my clients with financially sound options, including arranging financial consultations with investment experts. Inside my conference room I have a plaque that I consider to be my mantra. From the 1993 film Tombstone, it reads: “I’m coming, but I’m bringing hell with me.”

Tracie M. Dinehart has been an attorney in Michigan for over ten years. She is the owner of North Pointe Legal, PLLC in Ludington, where she focuses her practice exclusively on criminal defense, child abuse and neglect, and family law. Tracie is committed to helping people achieve justice in a system that is far too often unfair. A large part of her practice involves helping children, either by working to keep them with their families or advocating for their rights in the juvenile justice system. Tracie’s commitment to helping people began at a young age. She started college at Central Michigan University intending to become a veterinarian. She discovered her love of advocacy through her participation in debate and switched her major to communications. She earned both bachelor’s and master’s degrees from CMU before deciding to go to law school. Tracie attended Cooley Law School on weekends while working full-time for the State Bar of Michigan. She had multiple judicial internships and was a TA for the school’s Moot Court program. Despite such a full load, she graduated from Cooley cum laude. After law school, Tracie clerked for a judge in Eaton County for a year. She practiced criminal defense, family law, and insurance defense litigation for several years, first as a solo practitioner and then as part of a small law firm. After a few years as in-house counsel at an insurance company, she returned to the work she loves most when she opened North Pointe Legal in 2018. The view of the justice system that Tracie got during her clerkships, internships, and legal work inspired her to dedicate her practice to the pursuit of justice for people who rarely get a fair chance. Tracie loves working in the courtroom and advocating for her clients. She has developed a reputation for her tireless advocacy among both colleagues and clients, who refer to her as “Hell on Heels.” While she welcomes the nickname her clients have bestowed upon her, Tracie prefers to call herself a “constitutional warrior.” She is relentless about making certain that police and prosecutors respect her clients’ rights. Her goals for her criminal defense clients go beyond successful outcomes in their cases. She wants them to have every possible chance for a decent life. She often helps her clients connect with resources in their communities after their cases have concluded. Tracie’s child abuse and neglect clients are parents who have ongoing CPS investigations, or who are already facing a petition from the state seeking to terminate their parental rights. She helps her clients access resources that can keep families together. Many CPS cases involve parents with mental health or substance abuse issues, or whose kids have mental health issues that they lack the resources to address.
