Tonya Oliver

Tonya A. Oliver is a Tampa workers’ compensation attorney and a shareholder at Oliver & Fox, P.A. She represents injured workers, with a practice focused on first responder benefits, workers’ compensation and pension claims. Her appellate work has included representing claimants in the First District Court of Appeal in cases involving the “Heart / Lung Bill.” Oliver & Fox serves first responders injured at work across Florida from its Tampa office.

Oliver entered private practice in 2007 after working as a prosecutor for the Pinellas-Pasco State Attorney’s Office. Before becoming a prosecutor, she completed a certified legal internship; her career began with an internship at the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office. Her education took her to Colorado Christian University, where she earned a bachelor’s degree with a double major in 1994, and then to Valparaiso University School of Law for her J.D. in 1997.

Outside her casework, Oliver has lectured for Florida Workers’ Advocates and the Workers’ Compensation Section of the Florida Bar.
