As a personal injury attorney, Matthew Nezhad has dedicated his entire legal career to protecting the rights of injured victims and helping them get the maximum compensation possible for their injuries. He is committed to fighting for the rights of injured victims and holding the wrongdoer(s) accountable for their negligent actions. He does this by aggressively pursuing his Clients’ best interests and to obtain the best possible result for each case. Matthew established the NSL Law Firm with these objectives in mind and has built a legal team and staff who have the experience, dedication, and resources to get the job done right. Matthew Nezhad is a life member of the Million Dollar and Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forum – The Top Trial Lawyers in America, for having successfully obtained million and multi-million dollar results for his clients. This prestigious recognition is bestowed on only the top 1% of lawyers in the nation. He has also been selected as a “Super Lawyer” by his peers. A very select group of attorneys have this honor. A “Super Lawyer” is identified for having attained a high-degree of peer recognition and professional achievement and are selected for inclusion to this esteemed group. The Litigator Awards represent the highest honors in Trial Law, and justly stands as the nation’s most coveted symbol of “Litigation Achievement”. The Awards are based on actual “Verdict & Settlement” dollar achievement. NSL is now part of an exclusive fraternity of Super-Star Lawyers who have won Million, Multi-Million cases- a feat achieved by fewer than 1% of all lawyers. Of the nearly 1.1 million lawyers considered, only a select few (about 12 Law Firms) per State, achieve distinction of being awarded each year. Matthew continues to aggressively pursue his clients’ best interests not only against insurance companies but also against large corporations and major pharmaceutical companies for their defective and dangerous products. He has also represented hundreds of clients against the makers of the diet drug, Fen-Phen, and continues to represent those who have been victims of life altering prescription drugs. Matthew loves being a Personal Injury Lawyer for its challenges and because he is a natural problem solver. He is also a firm believer that in all injury cases the devil is in the detail. The ability to focus on the smallest detail, while never losing sight of the big picture, is crucial. Matthew and firm have successfully managed to balance their detailed knowledge of personal injury law and the injuries their clients sustain with the strategic planning that helps them realize and achieve their clients’ goals. A distinguishing characteristic of the NSL Law Firm is that the firm accepts a limited number of cases annually. Due to its success, NSL has been fortunate to receive referrals of cases over the years from past clients, other attorneys and law firms and has also been mentioned in the media for noteworthy and publicized cases.

Family and Divorce Law

1444 N. Farnsworth Ave., Suite 307, Aurora, IL 60505

I am an experienced Illinois divorce attorney and family lawyer. When you retain me, you retain an experienced divorce attorney, trained and familiar not only in the ins-and-outs of divorce litigation but extensively trained and experienced in the collaborative and cooperative law approaches to divorce resolution. My law firm represents people in DuPage, Kendall and Kane Counties. For nearly a decade, I have focused entirely on divorce, paternity (parentage), establishment and modification of support, parental rights, enforcement of divorce decrees and other family law related matters. I have litigated numerous divorce and parentage matters and know how to litigate yours. More importantly than that, I focus on keeping your case out of the courthouse as much as possible. That helps keep costs down and can actually expedite many cases. I have an undergraduate degree in psychology with 5 years' experience working with abused children and adolescents with severe psychiatric and emotional disorders. Prior to my work as an outreach specialist and child care worker I worked with Alzheimer's & dementia residents in long term care. My experience in psychology has taught me how to work with people effectively and provides me with insight that will be helpful to your case. By combining my training and experience in psychology with my legal education, training and experience in divorce and family law, I am not only sensitive to the emotional impact divorce can have on you, but skilled at protecting your interests, obtaining positive results, and doing so at a reasonable rate. Being both a seasoned divorce litigation attorney, trained collaborative lawyer, and one of the few cooperative lawyers in the area, I know how to best serve you, do it proficiently and do it all within your budget. I have no hesitancy about taking whatever steps are necessary to protect your rights, but more importantly, I know how to resolve your issues and enforce your rights WITHOUT having to litigate. Negotiating as opposed to litigating generally maximizes your position and minimizes your costs. My client’s have ranged from those holding major nationwide corporations to those with great economic challenges. Whatever your position in life, I know I can help you through.

While there she graded onto Law Review and was in the top 5% of her class. She transferred to the University of Maryland in 1990 and graduated from there in 1992 where she majored in environmental law. Criminal Defense Law

900 E Charleston Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89104

Area of Practice: Criminal Defense and Family Law Melissa Barry grew up in a small town in Northeastern Ohio. All her life, Melissa knew that she was going to be practicing law. She worked diligently to do so. Melissa obtained her undergraduate degree from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas in Criminal Justice and then returned near her hometown to attend law school at the University of Akron. While attending law school, Melissa worked as a teacher's aide doing research and comparing felony murder statutes in various states. Melissa was also involved in a clinical program where she represented clients charged with misdemeanor offenses in Summit County through the Legal Defender's Office. After the time for the clinical expired, Melissa was employed as an intern continuing to represent misdemeanor clients. Melissa began working for the Las Vegas City Attorney's Office in 2008 representing the City of Las Vegas in misdemeanor prosecutions, including driving under the influence, domestic violence offenses, drug offenses, theft offenses and even vehicular manslaughter prosecutions. She was also responsible for charging cases submitted to the City Attorney's Office for prosecution. During her employment with the Las Vegas City Attorney's Office, Melissa handled countless bench trials and responded to - and argued - countless motions by defense counsel. After taking the Arizona bar exam, Melissa became a Deputy County Attorney with the Mohave County Attorney's Office. While working in that capacity, she handled misdemeanor prosecutions, juvenile prosecutions and felony prosecutions. This allowed Melissa to continue conducting bench trials and jury trials. Melissa did not have a jury trial during her time there where a defendant was acquitted of all charges, winning all of her trials. While handling a variety of felony cases, Melissa supervised misdemeanor attorneys. Melissa was trained extensively in DUI and DV prosecution and engaged in additional training every year covering a variety of topics. After prosecuting, Melissa realized her passion for working in the private sector protecting the rights and liberties of people involved in both criminal and civil litigation. While practicing criminal defense, Melissa conducted more jury trials and continued with an excellent record. She is excited to help you keep your rights protected. Since venturing into private representation of clients Melissa has mainly focused on criminal defense and family law. She is empathetic and understanding as to not add additional stress to an already intimidating time. Additionally, Melissa is one of the National Women's Trial Lawyers Top 25 for 2021. Melissa's criminal experience has made her an excellent trial attorney and she is able to help people outside of the criminal law to protect their rights, help with both tumultuous and peaceful divorces, and help you fight for custody of your child and child support while helping you feel at ease. Call today and she will be happy to help you with your legal concerns.
