Michael A. Vacchiano

"Michael A. Vacchiano is associate general counsel at Balyasny Asset Management L.P. in New York. He took that position in January 2026, after an associate role at Skadden that began in April 2024.

Skadden also appears earlier in his career: he was a summer associate in its New York office from May to July 2017 and an associate there from September 2018 to March 2021. Between those two appointments, he earned his J.D. at the University of Virginia School of Law in 2018. His undergraduate degree is in finance, from Florida State University, where he graduated in 2014. During law school, his summer work included a June–August 2016 legal internship with the Knox County District Attorney in Knoxville, Tennessee.
