Alex De Castroverde is a Las Vegas personal injury attorney and the owner of De Castroverde Accident & Injury Lawyers along with his brother, Orlando. Their father, Waldo De Castroverde, was born in Havana, Cuba, and was a paratrooper in the Bay of Pigs invasion. Waldo moved to Reno, Nevada, in 1978, along with his wife Vivian De Castroverde (also born in Cuba) and their four children. After attending law school at night—while he dealt blackjack during the day—Waldo became one of the first attorneys in Nevada to open a law office with the focus of representing the Hispanic Community. In 2005, De Castroverde Accident & Injury Lawyers was formed as a branch of the Law Office of Waldo De Castroverde. The firm has grown from three attorneys to over 20 attorneys and a total team of over 100 employees. The firm now has offices in Las Vegas, Summerlin, Henderson, Reno, Oakland, CA and plans on expanding across the United Sates. The firm concentrates on personal injury, immigration, and criminal defense. In 1995, Mr. De Castroverde received his undergraduate degree from University of Nevada, Reno. He received his J.D. from Nova Southeastern University in 1999. Mr. De Castroverde is active in the Southern Nevada community, currently serving on the Board of Directors for Cristo Rey St. Viator Las Vegas College Preparatory and the Kenny Guinn Center for Policy Priorities. He is also on the Advisory Counsel for the Nevada Independent and serves as a committee member for the Las Vegas Bowl Committee.

Prior to establishing the Heidt Law Firm, Alex Heidt worked for several of the countrys largest defense contractors such as Orbital Sciences Corporation, Lockheed Martin Corporation, Harris Corporation, and Alion Science and Technology Corporation. Alex Heidt has a broad and diverse background in law, finance, business development and P&L managment. He has an extensive contract drafting and negotiation background, and has held major negotiations both nationally and internationally. Alex Heidt played a significant role in the valuation, due diligence and negotiation of several of Lockheed Martin’s and Harris’s acquisitions.

Attorney Alex Mario, daughter of firm founder and president, Carter Mario, was inspired from an early age to continue her family’s legacy of fighting for the injured. Alex has stood alongside her father and the Carter Mario Law Firm from the age of fifteen, in the firm’s commercials, billboards, buses, and social media platforms and encouraged Connecticut’s injured to “Get Carter!” Born and raised in Connecticut, Alex’s competitive drive and fighting spirit led her to attend high school at the prestigious International Management Group (IMG) Sports Academy, in Bradenton, Fl. in their soccer program. From there it was a natural choice to follow her parents’ footsteps and attend college at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. Alex double majored in Journalism and Mass Communication & Spanish Literature and Language. During college, Alex spent a year abroad in Seville, Spain, where she lived with a Spanish family and was completely immersed in the local culture. Upon graduation from college, Alex worked for four years at Time Warner Cable Corporate in NYC in various roles from executive assistant to the President of Residential Operations, a Marketing Analyst, as well as Analyst of Operational Effectiveness. During this time, she was elected to be a member of Time Warner Cable’s Aspiring Leadership Organization. Working with people and solving disputes on a corporate level made Alex realize her desire to return to the family law business and help those that needed a fighter in their corner. She obtained her JD from Fordham University School of Law, where she earned a spot on their Trial Advocacy team, one of the top programs in the country. While earning her JD, Alex also received the Archibald R. Murray Public Service Award – an award given for providing over 100 hours of pro bono and community work for Fordham Law’s Mediation Clinic at the small claims court in Manhattan. When Alex isn’t fiercely advocating for her clients, she is busy with her family, especially keeping up with her young sons Kees and Karson. Once an avid movie buff, she now has become a connoisseur of children’s television shows, and knows most of Coco Melon by heart! She still makes time to enjoy a good travel or cooking show on the weekends, listen to some jazz or Andrea Bocelli and when able, enjoys skiing and watching soccer.
