Before founding U.S. Law Group, Suk was a partner at another Chicago based law firm handling immigration through employment cases, as well as family based immigration cases. Suk interned at Cook County Court?s Commercial Division Court, which is the largest court system in the State of Illinois. While Suk was attending law school, he participated as a student attorney for the Tax Clinic. Additionally, while Suk studied law at the University of Valparaiso on a scholarship, he achieved ?Semester Honors?, ?Class Honors? in his Legal Writing class, and graduated Magna Cum Laude. He also attended the Business School of St. Louis University on a scholarship and completed his Masters in International Business. Ui Jun Suk is fluent in English and Korean.

Area of Practice: Birth Injury Law Vasiliki “Vanessa” Makris is the newest associate attorney to join Beam Legal Team. It was during her tenure as a law clerk that she developed a passion for representing victims of medical negligence. Born in Athens, Greece, Vanessa was never one to shy away from asking the question, “why?” It is her second nature to always question the status quo. This passion for discovering the truth eventually paved the way to pursue a career in law. Decades later in a new country, Vanessa became a first-generation college and law school graduate. Although she is thousands of miles away from her “home,” Vanessa’s culture and values still remain and have shaped her into the proud Greek-American woman she is today. Vanessa graduated from Loyola University Chicago cum laude with a degree in Psychology and a minor in Philosophy and Ethics. Vanessa’s philosophical background inspired her to pursue her legal education at Chicago-Kent College of Law in the midst of a global pandemic. She participated in the Trial Advocacy program and joined the Hellenic Student Bar Association and Chicago Bar Association. Vanessa currently lives in the heart of downtown Chicago. When she’s not practicing law, you’re most likely to find Vanessa in a hot yoga class or heading to Trader Joe’s to gather the ingredients for her exquisite home-cooked meals. After passing the July 2023 bar along with her older sister Joanna, Vanessa became licensed to practice law in the State of Illinois. Wayne B. Giampietro is an attorney admitted to practice by the Illinois Supreme Court in 1966. He received his B.A. degree from Purdue University in 1963, and a J.D. degree from Northwestern University School of Law in 1966. He has maintained an office in the Chicago area, concentrating on civil trial and appellate cases. In addition to having been involved in well over two hundred fifty trials, he has authored briefs in approximately fifty appeals in the federal system, including cases before the United States Supreme Court, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit, and over seventy appeals in state courts, including the Supreme Courts of Illinois, Wisconsin and Arizona, as well as various state appellate courts.
