Kristina B. Pett (Tina) concentrates her litigation practice in the area of life, health and disability insurance, including ERISA and state law breach of contract and bad faith claims. Ms. Pett is a member of the Trial Lawyers Section of the Florida Bar and a member of the Life, Health & Disability Committee of the Defense Research Institute and served on the DRI’s Women in the Law Publication subcommittee. She has served as a regional editor for The Job Description. Ms. Pett has also been recognized with an Extraordinary Service Award by one of her Fortune 500 clients. Tina is a cum laude graduate of Temple University School of Law. She obtained her Bachelors of Arts degree from the George Washington University. She is a member of the Florida and Pennsylvania Bars and is admitted to practice in the United States Supreme Court, the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth and Eleventh Circuits, the United States District Courts for the Southern, Middle and Northern Districts of Florida, Western District of Pennsylvania, Northern District of Texas and Western District of Oklahoma. Prior to joining Edison McDowell & Hetherington, Ms. Pett was a founding member of 100% woman-owned firm, Pett Furman. Tina was previously senior counsel in the Labor and Employment Department at Proskauer Rose LLP and a senior associate in the litigation department at Weil, Gotshal & Manges, LLP.
