Area of Practice: Elder, Estate, & Trust Law Partner Stacey (formerly known as Stacey L. Pilato) began working with founding partner, Joe, in 2005 as an Associate. Balancing the practice of law with raising two children, her accountant introduced her to Joe. She took a brief stint in 2007 to practice municipal law and then worked with a small estate planning firm, but found she was constantly on the phone consulting on complex matters with Joe and became devoted to the practice of estate planning and elder law. She returned in 2008 as Of Counsel to work with Joe, and became partner in the 2011 reorganization. Stacey studied political science, receiving her Bachelor of Arts at High Point University (formerly High Point College) in 1990. She studied the justice system and court administration at The American University, earning a Master of Science in Justice in 1995. In 1998, she attained her Juris Doctor in law from Seton Hall University, where she was an Associate Editor and published an article in the 1997-1998 Seton Hall Legislative Journal. Practicing for 22 years, she was admitted to the Bar of New Jersey on her son’s first birthday in December 1999. Her knowledge from prior practice areas including family law, landlord/tenant, real estate and commercial transactions, election law, contracts, torts, municipal government and public defense allows her to provide clients with insight on issues that may cross over into elder law, estate planning estate administration or litigation from other areas of law, such as real property, adoption, divorce/dissolution, or guardianship issues. Stacey is passionate about crafting an estate plan tailored for each individual in order to avoid the devastating family or financial crises that often arise from poor planning, or no planning. Stacey is a fearless advocate for her clients in estate, trust and guardianship disputes, Medicaid planning and applications. She is a frequent lecturer to caregivers and membership organizations on the significance of “no writing, no rights,” and how crucial it is for everyone age 18 and above, including her own young adult children, to have a complete and appropriate estate plan.

Criminal Defense Law

9465 Wilshire Blvd suite 300, Beverly Hills, CA 90212, USA

Stanley L. Friedman is a preeminent criminal defense lawyer who represents celebrities, business owners, politicians, corporations and healthcare professionals in complex, high-dollar, federal cases throughout the United States and in State Courts in California and Nevada. He has had an extraordinary and unparalleled legal career. Mr. Friedman received his Bachelor of Arts from UCLA (cum laude) and his Juris Doctor from USC School of Law. Early in his 37-year career Mr. Friedman served as a Law Clerk to a prominent Federal Judge in Los Angeles in which, from the Judge’s vantage, he worked on some of the major cases of the day – from the effects on the United States of the 1970’s oil embargo to prosecution and defense of major organized crime figures in California and Hawaii. After his Federal Court Clerkship, Mr. Friedman worked at a major law firm in Los Angeles representing securities firms, banks, healthcare organizations and entertainment outlets in investigations, litigation, trial, and federal appeals. It was at this firm that he was recognized in his first published and successful Ninth Circuit decision involving securities fraud. After three years as a litigator in this major law firm, Mr. Friedman was appointed an Assistant United States Attorney (AUSA) in the Criminal Division in Los Angeles, California. Because of his background and legal ability, Mr. Friedman was assigned to the Major Frauds Section in which he investigated and prosecuted high-dollar and complicated fraud cases on behalf of the United States government. In two separate instances, he was also appointed a Magistrate for France and British Hong Kong and conducted investigations on their behalf. During much of his time as an AUSA, the United States Department of Justice emphasized the investigation and prosecution of healthcare fraud. Mr. Friedman investigated and criminally prosecuted many of these healthcare fraud cases. Additionally, he investigated and prosecuted cases involving: Bank Fraud; Bankruptcy Fraud; Customs Violations; Insurance Fraud; Securities Fraud; Commodities Fraud; Investment Fraud; Embezzlement; Tax Crimes; Money Laundering; Credit Card Fraud; Counterfeiting of United States Currency and Securities; and Advance Fee Schemes. Mr. Friedman also initiated and prosecuted extradition cases involving United States citizens and residents. He was recognized by a Congressional Commission for successful prosecution of a complicated nationwide insurance fraud. In 1995, Mr. Friedman founded his own criminal defense law firm and represents clients in investigations, extradition matters, Grand Jury proceedings, search warrants, asset forfeitures, court cases and appeals. He has been a Board-Certified Criminal Law Specialist since 2005 and served as Chairman of the California State Bar Commission which tests, vets, certifies and re-certifies the comparatively few lawyers certified in the State of California as Criminal Law Specialists. In what are termed “parallel proceedings,” which are civil or administrative proceedings pursued concurrently with criminal investigations or prosecutions, Mr. Friedman has defended clients in cases brought by the Securities and Exchange Commission, the Commodities Future Trading Commission, and the California Fair Political Practices Commission. Mr. Friedman is listed as counsel in United States Supreme Court, Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, United States District Court, and California Court of Appeal published decisions. Regarding his own cases, and in commenting on other cases of interest to the media, Mr. Friedman has been referenced and quoted over 200 times, including appearances on Good Morning America and The Today Show. On a variety of subjects, he has lectured to law classes at the USC School of Law. Mr. Friedman has been recognized as a “Super Lawyer” every year since 2012 by Thompson Reuters which reserves this designation for the top five percent or less of lawyers in each state and also received the “AV Preeminent” rating by Martindale-Hubbell in every year since 2006 based on the general recognition that Mr. Friedman has achieved the highest levels of skill, integrity and overall professional excellence.

Real Estate Law

9 Robbins Street, Toms River, NJ 08753

I have come to the practice of law after a diversified career in business, banking, land development, building construction, and public administration. I’ve walked your walk, sat on your side of the table and felt your frustration when dealing with retained counsel. Because I can understand and relate to the client’s position, I am particularly mindful of the client’s need to balance legal costs with the benefits derived. Whether it’s litigation or transactions, the business person wants value for legal expenditures. I have committed myself to value-added legal services. My business experience began immediately upon graduation from Columbia University. I founded a statewide building material distribution company and grew it into a multi-million dollar business with more than 100 employees. In 1983, I sold the company through a sale of its shares. In 1971, I founded and organized Shore National Bank, and directed its growth and subsequent merger with Garden State National Bank. I also became active in land development and commercial construction projects, including office buildings, hotels, restaurants and shopping centers. As the Brick Business Administrator, I combined past business experience with political and non-profit experience to manage a $17 million budget with 350 employees. After 25 years as a business entrepreneur, I then began offering my knowledge to fellow entrepreneurs as a full time practicing attorney. My legal career began as a partner in a 25-lawyer firm with a concentration on multi-million dollar business acquisitions and sales, and large residential and commercial real estate transactions. When I formed Carluccio, Leone, Dimon, Doyle & Sacks, L.L.C., I gathered the finest legal minds in the area who shared a common belief that individuals, organizations, business owners and professionals could truly profit from legal advice tempered with solid business experience. The team of attorneys and experts that we have assembled is second to none. It is a cadre of legal advisors that can be counted on to help your businesses grow and to protect your hard-earned assets. The collective talents of the lawyers in our firm are always at the service of our clients, whether it is a business transaction, a serious personal injury, a land use, a family law or litigation. No matter is too small or too complex. If the matter is outside of our legal knowledge, we will work with you to find the right person to serve your needs. We believe if we serve the client’s interests first, we are served as well.

As a result of the conflict, Stephen and his family fled to neighboring Ghana, where he lived until relocating to the United States to pursue his lifelong dream of becoming a lawyer. With 13 years of legal practice, Stephen’s journey has profoundly shaped his legal philosophy and continues to guide the way he approaches every matter he handles and every client he represents. Having experienced adversity firsthand, he understands the importance of advocacy, resilience, and having legal representation. Stephen is licensed to practice law in the State of Maryland, the District of Columbia, and the United States District Court for the District of Maryland. He is an experienced, relentless, and results-driven attorney.
