About Lianna
Lianna Urfalyan is a Las Vegas attorney whose work centers on complex divorce and child custody matters. Her biography on The Abrams and Mayo Law Firm’s website identifies her as a State Bar of Nevada Board Certified Family Law Specialist.
Teaching and legal writing are also part of her professional work. In 2022, Urfalyan co-taught a State Bar of Nevada continuing legal education course on alimony and temporary spousal support. The syllabus examined factors Nevada family courts may consider when deciding support in divorces and dissolutions of registered domestic partnerships. She later instructed a 2025 continuing legal education class on alternative dispute resolution, with attention to methods for resolving cases promptly and cost-effectively.
Her publication credits span several family law subjects. She co-authored an American Bar Association chapter on the Hague Convention in 2017, and her writings include an ABA publication on foreign discovery in 2020. For a 2018 family law conference in Bishop, California, her work included The Codex of Family Law Manual, intended to help new attorneys with statutes and case law. Her writing credits also include the State Bar of Nevada’s 2023 divorce information guide.
During law school, Urfalyan held law clerk or judicial extern positions with Judges Robert Broadbelt III and Amy Pellman. She also clerked for three California firms devoted to family and fertility law. She speaks English and is fluent in Armenian.
