Distinguished Lawyer
About Garrett
Garrett Sutton practices business law and asset protection in Reno, Nevada, at Sutton Law Center. He founded both the law firm and Corporate Direct. Entrepreneurs and real estate investors are among those he assists, with work that includes forming business entities and protecting assets. The two organizations have distinct roles: Corporate Direct is not a law firm, and its services are supervised by Sutton as an attorney with Sutton Law Center.
Business ownership is also the subject of much of his writing. Start Your Own Corporation and Run Your Own Corporation are among his books, alongside Writing Winning Business Plans and Loopholes of Real Estate. His published work addresses entity formation, corporate compliance and asset protection. A member of Robert Kiyosaki’s Rich Dad Advisors, Sutton has several titles in the Rich Dad Poor Dad series. He has also written professional articles and served on the State Bar of Nevada’s Publication Committee. Another book, Sports Heaven: The Birth of ESPN, concerns the founding of the sports network.
Sutton attended Colorado College before earning a business administration degree at the University of California, Berkeley, in 1975. His law degree followed in 1978; his firm identifies the school as UC Law San Francisco. Sutton Law Center lists bar admissions in California and Nevada. California’s bar records identify him as Garrett Zook Sutton, list his license as active and give his office as Sutton Law Center on Mill Street in Reno.
