John Godbout grew up in Hartford, Connecticut, and graduated cum laude from Georgetown University with a degree in American Government. John was offered a Dean’s Merit Scholarship to study law at the University of Miami School of Law in Coral Gables, FL. John's early legal career was focused on civil litigation, first as an associate for a Miami litigation firm specializing in aviation and transportation tort defense and later as Assistant General Counsel for the Florida Dept of Transportation (D6). John then spent a decade at a Fortune 100 insurance company where he led a team of professionals specializing in directors and officers liability claims. John went on to lead the reorganization of a midsize, multistate law firm based in Miami with six domestic offices and a satellite location in Medellin, Columbia, and later to reimagine and rebuild a boutique law firm in Boston, MA. John ultimately pivoted to criminal defense, and is the managing partner of Smith & Eulo.

Mr. Nascimento has spent his entire career as a criminal defense attorney, defending individuals and corporations in high-stakes federal and state criminal matters, including investigations by the FBI, DEA, Health and Human Services (HHS)/Office of Inspector General, IRS, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), Homeland Security (DHS) and the U.S. Postal Inspector. Most recently, Mr. Nascimento’s practice has focused on medical providers, laboratory executives, marketing companies, durable medical equipment suppliers and business owners subjected to federal healthcare/Medicare fraud investigations in jurisdictions around the country. Mr. Nascimento has handled cases involving the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, Money Laundering, Bribery, Drug Trafficking, RICO, Healthcare Fraud, Wire Fraud, Asset Forfeitures and the representation of victim corporations/individuals in attempts to collect restitution. He has tried cases at all levels, from minor offenses, to those with potential life punishments and the death penalty, and has been educated by some of the leading experts in the world on DNA comparison and issues surrounding transfer and contamination, facial recognition and issues surrounding eyewitness memory and facial comparison. Mr. Nascimento has also successfully handled state and federal appeals that have saved his clients many years in prison. Joe grew up in South Florida and got his Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Florida. After UF, Mr. Nascimento went on to attend the University of Miami School of Law as a Dean’s Merit scholar, where he graduated, cum laude, with a Juris Doctor. Mr. Nascimento is an adjunct professor teaching the University of Miami School of Law’s Criminal Litigation Skills I and Advanced Criminal Litigation Skills II courses, part of the school’s nationally acclaimed litigation skills program.. Immediately out of law school, Joe joined Robbins Tunkey Ross Amsel Raben & Waxman, P.A., one of the largest and highly reputed criminal defense firms in the country. After many years with RTR, Mr. Nascimento became one of the founding members of the reorganized firm of Ross Amsel Raben Nascimento, PLLC.

A Coconut Grove native with ties to the community reaching back a hundred years, Mr. Stroleny attended MAST Academy before graduating with his bachelor's degree from Florida International University. While attending law school at Florida International University, he worked in a top law firm in the field of probate and guardianship, learning the importance of commitment to clients and passionate advocacy. In law school, Mr. Stroleny served as class president and later went on to serve as President of the FIU Trial Team. In 2012, Mr. Stroleny competed in Washington, D.C., for the FIU Law Trial Team, winning first place at the 16th Annual National White Collar Crime Mock Trial Invitational, held at Georgetown University. With a desire to learn more about the criminal justice system, Mr. Stroleny interned in the Miami-Dade State Attorney's Office Juvenile division. There he worked on hundreds of juvenile misdemeanor and felony cases, taking many to trial and winning favorable verdicts. Mr. Stroleny graduated from law school with honors and was awarded the Trial Advocacy Award, a distinction for the graduate who demonstrated the greatest overall excellence in trial advocacy. After law school Mr. Stroleny went to work full time for the Miami-Dade State Attorney's Office as an Assistant State Attorney. There he worked thousands of cases ranging from traffic, misdemeanors, DUIs and felonies, all the while gaining trial and appellate experience. Mr. Stroleny gained a detailed understanding of how the criminal justice system works on the inside and puts his experience and insight into every case he handles.
