About Diana
Diana Rhodes, a Cheyenne personal injury lawyer at Rhodes Law Firm, LLC, has a background in health care as well as law. Medical malpractice, nursing home abuse and neglect, and wrongful death are among the matters listed in her attorney profile, alongside claims brought by people injured in motor vehicle accidents.
Medical records figure prominently in her earlier work. During Wyoming’s 1991 legislative session, Rhodes participated in the development and enactment of the Hospital Records and Information Act. She also worked with the Wyoming State Archives to develop a records retention schedule for the state’s public hospitals. Her writing includes Consent Manual and Guidelines for the Release of Medical Records and articles about the hospital records act published in The Coffee House and Wyoming Lawyer in 1991.
Rhodes received her law degree from the University of Wyoming College of Law in June 1990; her Wyoming bar admission was that same year. Colorado admitted her in 2006. Before those admissions, she served as president of the Wyoming Medical Records Association from 1984 through 1986.
Her later professional service included the Wyoming Trial Lawyers Association’s president-elect position in 2010–2011. She has also presented on medical privacy: her speaking engagements included HIPAA programs for Wyoming attorneys and legal assistants in 2003, followed by a HIPAA compliance presentation for the Wyoming Health Information Management Association in 2004.
