Sharon Simmons-Cantrell

Sharon Simmons-Cantrell is a Houston personal injury lawyer and the president of Simmons and Fletcher, P.C. Within the firm, her responsibilities have included both litigation and oversight of its pre-litigation division. She litigated cases there between 1991 and 1995 before taking charge of the latter division.

Her connection to the office began in childhood. Robert S. Simmons, one of the founding partners, was her uncle, and she worked for him while attending primary school. Work at Simmons and Fletcher continued through her school and college years, though law was not her original plan. At Texas A&M University, she studied psychology, completing a Bachelor of Science in 1988 with the intention of pursuing graduate study in the same subject. She went to law school instead, earning her J.D. at the University of Houston Law Center in 1991. Texas issued her law license on November 1, 1991.
