Brett Enzor

Brett Enzor is a Houston-based managing director at Alvarez & Marsal Tax, advising multinational corporations on domestic and cross-border tax structuring. He belongs to the firm’s Global Corporate Transaction Tax and Advisory practice and has nearly three decades of experience.

EY accounts for most of that professional history. Enzor held partner/principal roles there for nearly 30 years before moving to Alvarez & Marsal. His last EY position was in Houston, as a principal in International Tax and Transaction Services. An EY tax alert dated August 22, 2025, named him among its Houston Transaction Tax Advisory contacts. The alert addressed proposed changes to FIRPTA rules for certain inbound reorganizations of publicly traded corporations.

At both the planning and implementation stages of transactions, Enzor’s work concerns tax structure. He has led those efforts on acquisitions and divestitures, with spin-offs among the latter. Joint ventures, internal reorganizations and cross-border restructurings also appear in his experience, along with legal entity rationalizations. His transaction work does not end at execution: it includes the subsequent integration and operational alignment as well.

Enzor’s academic background combines accounting and law. He holds a BBA in accounting from Abilene Christian University. Southern Methodist University awarded his JD, and his LLM in taxation is from New York University.
