Steven’s practices in the areas of civil litigation including family law, estate matters, personal injury/accident litigation, insurance, corporate law, licensing, and contract matters. Steven grew up in Billings, Montana. He earned his undergraduate degree from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah, while studying extensively in Germany. He continued his education at Loyola University of Chicago, School of Law where he received his juris doctorate. During law school, Steven worked with Dean Michael J. Kaufman editing and researching for various legal texts and treatises including the Illinois Practice Series: Illinois Civil Trial Procedure; Depositions: Procedure, Strategy & Technique; and Learning Civil Procedure. Also during law school, Steven worked as a law clerk, first for the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation under the Chief Medical Prosecutor, and later as a Judicial Clerk for Department’s Administrative Law Judges. In his free time, Steven can be found coaching soccer, playing soccer himself, running, and biking. He also enjoys waterskiing, backpacking, hunting, fly fishing, and skiing during winter. Steven is also a new father himself and loves spending time with his son, family and friends.
