Foster was General Counsel, Secretary, acting CFO, EVP for HR, Regulatory, Manufacturing & Quality, and Chairman of Japan and UK for Natus Medical, Inc. (NASDAQ:NTUS), after its IPO. Natus invented newborn baby hearing screening, now mandated worldwide.
For a decade, Foster was General Counsel, President, Secretary and CFO of Volumetrics Medical Imaging, LLC, a Duke Univ. spinoff that invented the modern 4D ultrasound machine that displays a heart beating or a fetus moving. Foster led legal efforts against infringement of VMI's patents, successfully licensing VMI’s patents to GE, Toshiba, Philips, Samsung and Siemens, producing a substantial return to investors.
Earlier, Foster was appointed Special Counsel to the US Embassy, Tokyo, Japan.
