Lynn holds the position of partner and Chairperson of the estate planning group at the firm. Her expertise lies in providing guidance to individuals, business owners, professionals, and families on matters of wealth preservation, asset transfer, and charitable giving. Lynn employs sophisticated estate planning and settlement techniques, ensuring clients' assets are passed on according to their wishes while minimizing gift, estate, and income taxes. She has extensive experience in structuring inter-generational asset transfers, tax planning, retirement and elder law planning, business succession planning, and asset protection planning.
In addition, Lynn represents executors and trustees in the administration of estates and trusts. She is skilled in obtaining Superior Court approval for trust accountings, modifications, and terminations. Lynn has considerable expertise in handling guardianship and conservatorship cases before the Probate Courts. She collaborates with attorneys from the Litigation Group within the firm, representing individual and corporate fiduciaries in probate, guardianship, and trust proceedings involving fiduciary liability issues, will contests, accountings, and related court matters.
Lynn's legal career began with a clerkship at the Rhode Island Supreme Court, serving as a law clerk to The Honorable Chief Justice Joseph R. Weisberger and Associate Justice Robert G. Flanders. She then joined the law firm Hinckley, Allen & Snyder, practicing in both their Providence and Boston offices.
Recognized for her expertise, Lynn is a highly sought-after instructor at continuing legal education seminars organized by the Rhode Island Bar Association. She is also a guest on WPRI 12 Money Pros, contributing her insights and knowledge in the field.
