Kathleen is an owner of Rockwell & Kaufman, L.L.C. She received a B.A. from the University of Alabama and is a 1996 graduate of the University of Alabama School of Law. Specializing in the areas of medical malpractice defense and construction litigation, her practice includes direct representation of nursing homes, physicians, contractors, architects and engineers. During her practice, Kathleen has handled numerous complex cases in the medical, construction and insurance fields. She continues to have a significant appellate practice, and has served as a member of the Alabama Defense Lawyers Association Amicus Committee since 1998. Kathleen is a frequent speaker in the areas of litigation and management of medical and construction claims and has authored several articles on these topics. She is a member of the Defense Research Institute and the Alabama Defense Lawyers Association. Kathleen is a graduate of the International Association of Defense Counsel Trial Academy. She is licensed to practice before the State and Federal courts in Alabama and is an active member of both the Alabama Bar Association and the Mobile Bar Association, serving on numerous committees and panels within the Bar. Kathleen is active in her community and is a member of several civic organizations.
