Corinne is president and shareholder of Kaplan Law Firm, S.C. She has been practicing law for thirty years. A graduate of Indiana University for both her undergraduate and graduate educations, Corinne received an undergraduate degree in political science and a Juris Doctorate (J.D., Doctorate of Law) degree with specialties in taxation and securities. Attorney Kaplan was admitted to the State Bar of Wisconsin in 1984. While an extremely skilled family law practitioner, she is also very well versed in real estate law, business and taxation law, personal injury law, and sport law. Before pioneering Kaplan Law Firm, S.C., Attorney Kaplan worked as an accountant and tax specialist for Peat, Marwick, Mitchell & Co. (1984-1986), as an associate attorney for Davis & Kuelthau, S.C. (1986-1987), as a consult and register representative for Kidder, Peabody & Co. (1987-1989), as an associate attorney for Starobin & Associates, S.C. (1989-1990), and as an attorney for Lee F. Calvey & Associates, S.C. (1990-1992). Also, Attorney Kaplan worked as a mediator and arbitrator for Alternative Dispute Resolutions, Inc. (1994-2000). Attorney Kaplan served as the 2010 President of the Ozaukee County Bar Association. She has membership in the American Bar Association, the Wisconsin Bar Association and Family Law Section, and the Sports Lawyer Association. She has been a frequent presenter at continuing legal education seminars in business, tax, and family law areas. Most recently, she presented a paper on excellence in teaching sport law at 2010 Sports Lawyer Association national conference. Besides law, Attorney Kaplan is passionate about teaching; for twenty-eight years, she has been a professor at Cardinal Stritch University of courses such as Business Law, Sport Law, Economics, Accounting, Human Resources, Organization and Management, Fund-Raising and Philanthropy, and Ethics. For Attorney Kaplan, this ongoing experience is a way to remain current both in technology and in legal issues.
