Claudia Barber has been a member of the Maryland bar for 35 years, and a member of the DC bar since 1994. She practiced law for more than 25 years, and began serving as an Administrative Law Judge with the District of Columbia Office of Administrative Hearings in August 2005.
She currently serves as president of the Public Sector Human Resources Association (PSHRA) Patuxent River Basin Chapter. She previously served in 2020-2021 as president of the International Public Management Association (IPMA) Patuxent River Basin Chapter. In 2021, the chapter received the 2021 Chapter Award of Excellence. Claudia previously served as District 4 Director of the National Association of Women Judges (2011-2013), and as president of the DC Association of Administrative Law Judges .
Claudia is also the recipient of the 2022 Sojourner Truth Award by Anne Arundel County, Maryland, and the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Drum Major for Justice Award.
