Mr. Ruggiero, a senior/managing partner of the Firm, has expertise in many areas of intellectual property law. His practice includes the intellectual property aspects of acquisitions and divestitures, copyrights, licensing, patents, trademarks, trade secrets, as well as developing litigation strategies with regard to intellectual property issues. Currently, he has emphasized product patent clearances and patent acquisitions for Fortune 200 companies that deal in consumer and consumer-type products. Mr. Ruggiero has also served as an expert in patent litigation. Having served as in-house patent counsel at Beatrice Foods (International Playtex) and Crane Co. before joining OGRP, Mr. Ruggiero provides his corporate clients with the benefit of his practical experience in protecting patent opportunities and avoiding infringement risks within the parameters of budgetary requirements. He attended the City College of New York, School of Engineering, before attending John Marshall Law School, where he earned his J.D.
