Antonio G. Lobon

Antonio holds a Law degree from the Complutense University of Madrid, a Master's degree in Tax Law from the University of Deusto (Bilbao), and is a Spanish Certified Public Accountant (CPA). He also has training in the Prevention of Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing. He is a member of the Madrid Bar Association and the Spanish Institute of Public Accountants.

After 36 years of experience at KPMG, he retired in October 2014 upon reaching the legal retirement age. He began his professional career at KPMG in Madrid in 1978, became a partner in 1987, and moved to the New York office in 1999 where, among other responsibilities, he was the Partner in charge of Latin American Legal Services, managed Global Accounts in Latin America, and led the Spanish and Portuguese Centers of Excellence in that office.

Antonio specializes in European Union tax law, as well as international taxation, restructuring, cross-border transactions, due diligence, and mergers and acquisitions across various sectors. Some of the sectors in which he has provided services include: Banking and Financial Services, including funds and alternative investment industries; Oil and Gas; Automotive Manufacturing; Food and Beverage; Hotel Chains; Communications; Cement and Construction; Airlines; and related services.
