Alfred Bishop Tax Law

Mr. Bishop earned a B.A. in 1964, and a LLB in 1969 from the University of Virginia, as well as a Tax Masters from Georgetown Law Center in 1974. He served as an attorney with the IRS Chief Counsel Office from 1970 until his retirement in 2011. He served as a branch chief of the corporate tax branch of the Tax Litigation Division which reviewed all significant corporate tax litigation. During the year 1999, he served as branch chief of Branch 2 of the Advanced Pricing Agreement Program of the International Division. He is a member of the New York and Washington DC Bars, and licensed to practice before the Tax Court and Court of Claims.
