Michael Worgul

Michael Worgul practices criminal defense in Pittsburgh at Worgul, Sarna & Ness, Criminal Defense Attorneys. The firm identifies state and federal criminal charges and DUI cases as his practice areas. In its account of his courtroom experience, the firm lists more than 30 jury trials and says litigation occupies 80 percent of his practice. His own biography describes work on student cases involving underage drinking and disorderly conduct, as well as weapons charges, sex crimes and manslaughter.

Before opening his own practice in 2008, Worgul worked in both private practice and indigent defense. His first position after admission to the Pennsylvania bar in 2004 was with Arthur Bloom & Associates, LLC. He later represented indigent criminal defendants during two years at the Allegheny County Office of Conflict Counsel. He is also admitted to the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania.

Pittsburgh is Worgul’s hometown. He completed both degrees at Duquesne University: a B.A. in 2001, with a major in management information systems, followed by a J.D. in 2004. His biography lists membership in the Pennsylvania State Bar Association and the Allegheny County Bar Association’s Criminal Litigation section. Away from legal work, he describes an interest in remodeling houses for rental or sale. Music is another interest; he plays guitar, piano and drums.
