Mr. Murphy has been practicing law for over forty (40) years. He is the managing partner at the Norristown firm of Murphy and Dengler. He received his undergraduate degree from Villanova University and his law degree from the University of Miami where he attended on a full scholarship and graduated with honors. Mr. Murphy is designated as an Advocate by the National College of Advocacy. Mr. August has served as chair and co-chair of the tax law departments of two Am Law 200 law firms and as a partner in both national and regional tax law firms and in a tax litigation boutique. He now announces the opening of August Tax Law, P.C., located in Blue Bell, PA, a suburb of Philadelphia located near Valley Forge, PA. For the past five years, Mr. August served as Co-Chair of the International Tax and Wealth Planning Group for Fox Rothschild, LLP. Before Fox, he was a partner at two national tax law firms: Houston- based Chamberlain Hrdlicka and Kostelanetz & Fink in New York City. Mr. August was the majority shareholder in the tax law firm of August, Kulunas, Dawson & Siegel, P.A., in West Palm Beach, Florida, which he started in 1988 after serving as co-chair of the Tax Department of the Miami-based firm of Steel Hector & Davis. In 2005, he merged his firm with Fox Rothschild and worked from the firm’s Philadelphia and West Palm Beach locations. He spent 10 years as a partner and co-chair of the Taxation and Wealth Planning Department and chair of the firm’s Tax Opinions Committee of Fox Rothschild before joining Kostelanetz & Fink. Kenneth R. Pugh is an associate at Kaplin Stewart with a practice focusing on estate planning, estate administration, tax law and general business matters in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. Kenneth’s estate planning work includes preparation of wills, trusts, and powers of attorney. He assists clients in responding to Statutory Notice of Deficiency letters from the Internal Revenue Service. He is well versed in estate and trust administration and has previously served as outside counsel advising corporate fiduciaries. He has helped traditional, blended, and nontraditional families plan for the future. Kenneth earned his J.D. and LL.M. in Taxation from Villanova University’s Charles Widger School of Law. During law school, he participated in the Villanova Federal Tax Clinic where he represented taxpayers in controversies with the Internal Revenue Service. Before attending law school, Kenneth worked as a research biochemist in the medical field. His scientific endeavors have allowed him to develop the rigorous attention to detail that he now uses to help clients achieve their planning goals.
