Catherine Ritzmann

Catherine Ritzmann is a criminal defense attorney at Meadows Law Firm in West Chester, Ohio. She joined the firm in January 2020 after working in public defender offices in both Kentucky and Ohio. Her move to Meadows followed a staff attorney position in the Municipal Division of the Hamilton County Public Defender’s Office, which she had taken in April 2019.

Earlier in her career, Ritzmann worked for Kentucky’s Department of Public Advocacy. She began that work after law school under a limited law license and passed the Kentucky bar examination in March 2018. Her responsibilities as a staff attorney at the Boone County Public Defender’s Office included criminal cases in three settings: the Juvenile Division, District Court and Circuit Court. Her subsequent Hamilton County position brought her public defense work to Ohio’s municipal court system.

Ritzmann earned a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice from Northern Kentucky University in December 2013. She went on to Salmon P. Chase College of Law, earning her Juris Doctorate in May 2017. While studying law, she also worked at the Children’s Law Center. Ohio admitted her to practice in 2017.
