About Patrick

Patrick J. Saccocio heads the Title IX practice at Parisi, Coan & Saccocio, PLLC, which maintains a Schenectady, New York, office. A founding member of the firm, he represents students in misconduct matters under Title IX. His practice also includes defending domestic and dating violence criminal cases and Title VII employment discrimination matters.

In Title IX cases, Saccocio takes responsibility for case strategy and communications with the school, as well as preparing clients for interviews and hearings. The firm’s representation extends beyond students: it also defends faculty and staff in proceedings at colleges, universities and school districts across the country. The firm reviews the notices and evidence in a case and advises respondents on their rights at campus hearings. When a law enforcement investigation or prosecution is also involved, its advice covers statements, evidence requests and the timing of campus proceedings.

Before private practice, Saccocio served as an assistant district attorney in Westchester County. He has practiced law since 1989. His undergraduate degree is from the State University of New York at Albany, where he studied political science and graduated cum laude. Law school followed at the College of William and Mary, with graduation in 1988. His firm profile lists licenses in Arizona, California, Texas, New York and Massachusetts. The firm’s Schenectady address is 120 Erie Boulevard, second floor.
