John T. Doherty

John has worked with the law firm of Robinowitz Cohlan Dubow and Doherty LLP since 1994 becoming a partner in 2003. He has twenty-six years of extensive experience closing real estate loans for local and national lending institutions. He is well versed in handling commercial and residential closing issues, title issues, underwriting requirements and contractual matters for both commercial and residential real estate transactions. With the firm, he has also gained extensive experience in handling REO files from foreclosure through closing and effectively supervised the bankruptcy department where he was extensively involved in preparing and litigating bankruptcy motions. In addition, he is well versed in commercial and residential lease issues and foreclosure matters. His undergraduate degree was in Computer Science and he has worked extensively with operating systems, advanced data processing, networking and hardware design.
