Christopher Meagher

Christopher B. Meagher is a White Plains, New York, trial lawyer and the principal of Meagher & Meagher, P.C., where he leads the civil litigation practice. His cases include commercial disputes as well as claims for injuries. In commercial litigation, he has acted for both plaintiffs and defendants in disputes over contracts, real estate and partnership dissolution.

On the injury side, Meagher represents people hurt in automobile accidents, construction accidents and falls, and those with claims involving pharmaceutical errors. He also represents clients in sexual assault and molestation matters. Medical malpractice is another part of his work: his firm biography records two verdicts he obtained in Westchester County in 2009. The firm itself describes plaintiffs’ medical malpractice as its primary focus and lists dental malpractice and wrongful death among its past cases.

Before entering law, Meagher trained and worked as an architect. He received a bachelor’s degree in architecture from the University of Maryland, then spent several years in that profession. Fordham Law School followed. He began his legal career at Lord Day & Lord, a Wall Street firm, as an associate after admission to the bars of New York, Connecticut and New Jersey.

Meagher joined his father, Thomas F. Meagher, in private practice in 1994. His father founded Meagher & Meagher; the firm’s White Plains office is at 111 Church Street.
