Sarah Jewell

Sarah Jewell is the owner and an attorney at River Valley Law, P.A., in Waite Park, Minnesota. The firm’s Minnesota office is on Seventh Avenue South. Her professional background includes a career in sales and marketing before she entered law school.

Jewell earned a Bachelor of Arts from Pepperdine University in Malibu, California, in 1994. She later studied at Hamline University School of Law in St. Paul, receiving her J.D. in 2011. Her legal education also included a Certificate in Advocacy and Problem Solving from Hamline’s Dispute Resolution Institute. She was selected to speak at Pepperdine’s commencement and appeared on the dean’s list twice during law school.

Her professional service includes chairing the Minnesota State Bar Association’s Rural & Agricultural Law Section Council for the 2019–2020 and 2020–2021 terms. Her firm biography also lists an association with the Stearns-Benton Bar Association from 2018 to 2019 and includes Minnesota Women Lawyers among her professional associations.

Outside her legal work, Jewell describes living with her family on a hobby farm, raising thoroughbred horses that race at Canterbury Park, and participating in 4H activities. Running is another interest: she reports completing seven full marathons, including Grandma’s Marathon, the Lake Wobegon Marathon, the Twin Cities Marathon, and the Whistle Stop Marathon, as well as numerous half marathons.
