About Mark
Mark A. Pridgeon is an Edina, Minnesota, tax attorney with Pridgeon & Zoss, PLLC. He and David Zoss formed the firm effective January 1, 2017. With offices in Edina and Roseville, the firm represents taxpayers in state and federal tax controversies, including administrative proceedings and court litigation.
Earlier in his career, Pridgeon worked inside the Internal Revenue Service. His first District Counsel position was in Chicago, from 1978 to 1979; he then served in the St. Paul office through 1985. He subsequently held manager and senior manager positions at Ernst & Whinney between 1985 and 1988, and was a partner at Regan & Pridgeon from 1990 to 1992. His professional biography also lists a Minnesota certified public accountant qualification dating to 1987.
Alongside those positions, Pridgeon taught in the University of Minnesota’s Master of Business in Taxation Program as an adjunct professor from 1989 to 1992. His later writing addressed two specific collection issues: IRS trust fund recovery assessments, in a 1995 MNCPA Footnote Magazine article, and installment payment agreements, in a 1996 article for the same publication. In 1996, he spoke at a Minnesota Institute for Legal Education seminar on handling federal and state Tax Court cases from the taxpayer attorney’s perspective.
Pridgeon earned both a B.A. and a B.S. at the University of Minnesota in 1975. His J.D. followed at Harvard University Law School in 1978; his Minnesota bar admission also dates to that year.
