Michone J. Riewer

Michone J. Riewer is a family and matrimonial law attorney and managing partner of Strategic Divorce in Lake Bluff, Illinois. Her practice also includes estate planning, and her professional background encompasses corporate law and civil litigation.

Riewer’s family-law experience covers custody, parenting time, parental decision-making, and child support. She also works with financial matters arising in marriage and divorce, including maintenance, corporate valuations, and prenuptial and postnuptial agreements. Her background includes adoptions and post-decree actions, as well as issues addressed during the divorce itself. She is a Lake County-approved mediator.

Riewer earned her Juris Doctor from Georgia State University College of Law in Atlanta in 1996. She previously received a Bachelor of Science from Iowa State University in Ames in 1989. Her admissions include the Illinois bar and the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, both dating to 1996.
