Tanya Mitchell Graham

Tanya Mitchell Graham is the owner and managing attorney of The Law Office of Tanya Mitchell Graham, P.C., in Atlanta. Her work spans family, business and entertainment law, the fields in which she began practicing after passing the Georgia bar examination in July 1991.

Custody cases involving fathers have been part of Graham’s practice since early in her career. In 1993, she secured her first award of primary physical custody for a father; later cases have resulted in fathers receiving either primary or joint physical custody of their children. Divorce, child support, legitimation and visitation are also among the family matters she handles. She also prepares prenuptial agreements and negotiates their terms.

On the business side, Graham has helped form businesses and establish nonprofit corporations. Contract drafting, commercial lease negotiations and franchise agreements make up other parts of that work. Her entertainment representation has included people working in music—songwriters, producers, recording artists, managers and promoters—as well as independent record labels and reality television personalities. Professional athletes and social media influencers have also been among her clients.

Originally from Boston, Massachusetts, Graham has made Atlanta her home for most of her adult life. Her undergraduate degree is a Bachelor of Science from Vanderbilt University, awarded in May 1987. She also holds a Juris Doctor from Georgia State University College of Law.
