About Patricia

Patricia Ammari is an estate planning and elder law attorney in Marietta, Georgia, and the founder of The Ammari Firm, LLC. Her legal career began with a different clientele: she represented Fortune 500 companies as a commercial litigation associate in an international law firm’s Atlanta office. At her own firm, her work includes representing seniors. She also has firsthand experience as a caregiver.

Wills, trusts and probate are among the matters Ammari handles for Georgia families. Her elder law work encompasses planning for long-term care, seeking Medicaid and Veterans Administration benefits, and addressing guardianships and conservatorships. Special needs planning is another part of her practice.

A 1997 graduate of the University of Alabama, Ammari completed law school at Georgia State University in 2001 with cum laude honors. Her law school activities included Law Review and the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition, in which she represented Georgia State.

Within the Georgia Chapter of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, Ammari held the secretary’s office in 2013 and became president-elect in 2014. Her presidency followed in 2015, with service as immediate past president in 2016. The chapter recognized her as its Chapter Member of the Year twice, in 2014 and 2016. Her volunteer work has included helping callers to Atlanta Legal Aid’s Georgia Senior Legal Hotline obtain benefits.
