Joseph Maniscalco, Jr.

Joseph A. Maniscalco Jr. is an Atlanta attorney listed as of counsel at Piasta Walker Hagenbush, LLC, whose career has included representing both injured individuals and insurance companies. He founded Maniscalco Law, P.C., with a practice devoted primarily to injured workers and personal injury plaintiffs. An insurance-contract trial in the Northern District of Georgia became a turning point in that career. Following the 1991 trial, opposing counsel offered him an associate position, which he eventually accepted at the insurance-defense firm. There, he represented insurers in first-party insurance-contract litigation and subrogation cases seeking recovery for property and casualty losses. His subrogation work involved manufacturers and distributors accused of supplying defective or dangerous products, as well as general contractors and subcontractors facing claims over defective or dangerous construction. He subsequently opened his own practice and returned to representing injured people.
