About Ronald
Ronald A. Marini practices tax law in Miami, where he is managing partner of Marini & Associates, P.A. He represents taxpayers in IRS audits, appeals and collection matters, as well as before the U.S. Tax Court. Both domestic and international tax matters are part of his practice. His clients have included Fortune 500 companies, non-U.S. businesses and high-net-worth individuals.
Before establishing Marini & Associates, Marini worked in Arthur Andersen & Co.’s Miami office; the accounting firm's worldwide directory identified him as an international tax specialist. His education began with an accounting degree from Villanova University in 1979, followed by a law degree there in 1982. In 1985, he completed an LL.M. in taxation at the University of Miami School of Law.
Cross-border investment advice is another part of Marini's work, covering real estate and business activities for foreign and domestic clients. He forms and oversees international corporate and trust structures and implements international reorganizations. Offshore trust drafting, U.S. fiscal information reporting, voluntary disclosures and withholding tax also fall within his practice. Outside those matters, his writing and lecturing have included articles and books, among them “U.S. Portfolio Investments” in CCH International Tax Commentaries. He can transact business in English and Italian.
Marini's Florida Bar profile lists him as eligible to practice and in good standing. It also lists admissions to the U.S. Tax Court and the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida.
