Matthew C. Kotzen is an attorney whose work has included personal injury claims and insurance disputes, with a documented past affiliation with The Rain Law Firm in Hollywood, Florida. Kotzen grew up in South Florida. He studied accounting at the University of Florida, earning a Bachelor of Science with high honors from its Fisher School of Accounting. He subsequently earned his law degree at Mercer University’s Walter F. George School of Law.
His professional background includes work as a trial associate at an insurance-defense firm in Fort Lauderdale. In that role, he represented insurance companies directly and defended claims against them. His later work included representing policyholders in disputes with insurers and people injured in automobile and truck accidents. He has also represented property owners pursuing insurance claims involving hurricanes, floods and other catastrophic events.
