About Lloyd
Lloyd Bowers practices law with Wickersham & Bowers in Daytona Beach, Florida, where his listed areas include estate planning and probate and trust litigation. Wills, trusts, personal injury and wrongful death also appear on his individual firm profile. He is eligible to practice in Florida and is listed by The Florida Bar as a member in good standing.
Before his legal career, Bowers studied at the University of Virginia, earning a B.A. with distinction in 1978 and a law degree in 1982. His firm biography records admission in Louisiana in 1983, Texas in 1992 and Florida in 1998. In Louisiana, he chaired the state bar association’s Young Lawyers Council and sat on the Louisiana Bar Foundation’s board. A move to Daytona Beach followed in 1995, when he joined Chris Wickersham in practice and formed Wickersham & Bowers.
Theater has also figured in his work outside the firm. In New Orleans, Bowers helped create Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts, a project offering free legal help to artists and arts organizations. He later spent eight years on the Seaside Music Theater board, including service as chairman and head of its Fund Development Committee. In 2011, he discussed a separate nonprofit for the Peabody Auditorium with city officials. That effort, undertaken with city and local volunteers, led to the Peabody Auditorium Foundation in 2015. Bowers was its first president; the organization was established to support capital improvements and cultural productions at the auditorium.
