About Len
Len Brown is a former PGA TOUR chief legal officer whose executive work has been based at the organization’s headquarters in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida. His positions have included executive vice president for licensing and merchandising and chief of global business ventures. In its October 2025 leadership announcement, the TOUR described his planned move from global business ventures to a special-advisor role reporting to chief executive officer Brian Rolapp.
Merchandising was one subject Brown discussed in a Profile interview. He described helping the TOUR’s team move beyond tournament merchandise that resembled a traditional golf pro shop’s offerings toward products with more of a lifestyle emphasis. He also pointed to the pandemic as a period when golf attracted new participants and broadened its audience.
Brown’s education includes a JD from the University of Pennsylvania Law School and a bachelor’s degree and MBA from Pennsylvania State University. In his Florida Entertainment and Sports Law Review career interview, he identified finance and logistics as his MBA subjects. His route to law included work as a stockbroker, music production and a position at Ford Motor Company in Detroit. After two years at Ford, he decided to apply to law school.
During law school, Brown spent a summer at Proskauer Rose in New York. His subsequent sports-industry career included Turner Sports and the Atlanta Braves before he joined the PGA TOUR.
