Katie M. Poleon is a founding partner of Feron Poleon, LLP, and previously was a senior associate attorney with the law firm of Spadafora & Verrastro. She concentrates her practice in Matrimonial and Family law. Katie is a graduate of Canisius College (B.A.) and the University at Buffalo School of Law (J.D.). Initially admitted to practice in the State of Illinois, Katie spent nearly five (5) years practicing in the area of complex civil litigation at a large multinational law firm in Chicago. Since relocating back to the Buffalo area with her family, Katie has practiced in the area of Matrimonial and Family law at the trial and appellate levels. Admitted to the New York bar in 2011, she is a member of the New York and Erie County Bar Association.

Pons Law PA is a law firm based in Miami-Dade County, providing legal representation for matters regarding Family Law, Estate Planning, and Landlord/Tenant disputes and transactions. Additionally, Jacqueline has had extensive experience in Healthcare Law on both a Federal and State Compliance level. Prior to becoming an attorney, Jacqueline had years of experience in these areas of law through her work as a certified paralegal. She received her paralegal Certificate from U.M. Law before beginning her legal education at Stetson Law where she received her J.D. It was during her work as a paralegal for a Family law solo practitioner where she received handson one on one training and developed a deep respect, admiration, and love for not only Family law but the legal profession as a whole. She is extremely dedicated to helping her clients achieve their goals and in providing care with the upmost compassion, respect, and understanding to the difficulties faced during these times.

I was born in Victoria, TX and subsequently moved to Baton Rouge, LA. I graduated from Istrouma High in 1977 and went straight to work. At the age of 27, I married my husband, John. When I was 34 I had the opportunity of going to college for the first time. I graduated Summa Cum Laude from Southeastern Louisiana University in 1998 and then started at LSU Law School, graduating in 2001. Thereafter I passed the Louisiana State Bar Exam and have been practicing as a solo practitioner ever since, handling mostly family law, juvenile, and criminal matters. In 2004, I adopted my two sons, who are both now Eagle Scouts.

Laurie Poppe attended Rutgers University where she obtained dual degrees: a Master’s in Social Work and a Doctorate in Law. As a result of these dual, professional degrees, she passionately adheres to her therapeutic training. Laurie Poppe served as a Law Clerk to the Honorable Ann R. Bartlett in 2005. She also clerked for the Honorable Thomas H. Dilts, P.J.F.P and the Honorable Julie M. Marino that same year. She is a member of the American, New Jersey and Somerset County Bar Associations, and a member of the Family Law Section of each association. She is also a member of the International Alliance of Collaborative Professionals as well as the Mid-Jersey Collaborative Alliance. Laurie Poppe is also a member of the International Academy of Collaborative Professionals, the IACP’s Professional and Group Development Committee, President of the Mid-Jersey Collaborative Law Alliance, member of the New Jersey Collaborative Law Group, co-chair of the Somerset Collaborative Professional Organizational Development Group, the Jersey Shore Collaborative Law Group, Collaborative Divorce Professionals, and the New Jersey Council of Collaborative Practice Groups.
