Mejias believes in accountability in business. In 2003, despite overwhelming odds, David Mejias was elected to the Nassau County Legislature. Since taking office, Mejias has maintained his focus and fought for issues that are important to his thousands of constituents. He is also a veteran of tough battles, fighting hard to win reelection. He has led the effort to keep our children safe from sex offenders by sponsoring the toughest Megan’s Notification Law in New York State and sponsored legislation implementing residency restrictions for sex offenders. Most recently, David Mejias sponsored and passed legislation that allows law enforcement to install computer monitoring software on the computers of registered sex offenders, using the same technology sex offenders use to prey on our children to catch them in the act. As a legislator and in the practice of law, David has fought for the rights of victims of domestic violence. He has been recognized by the Coalition Against Domestic Violence for his efforts on their behalf. David Mejias is a graduate of The University at Albany School of Business and Fordham University School of Law.

Aimee Melton graduated from Creighton University School of Law and was admitted to the Nebraska State Bar Commission in 2004. Aimee is a founding partner of Reagan, Melton & Delaney, L.L.P. and a valued member of the firm. After Aimee was admitted to the bar, she began working as a prosecutor in Douglas County and is an experienced trial attorney. Aimee has tried over 150 bench and jury trials in her career. She uses her experience to represent her client’s interests and aggressively handles each case. At Reagan, Melton & Delaney, L.L.P., Aimee concentrates her practice primarily in the areas of family law, including divorce, child custody, parenting time, child support, modifications, contempt actions, grandparent rights, and domestic violence protection orders. She also devotes a significant part of her practice to probate matters, wills, trusts and estate planning. Aimee is a certified Family Law Mediator. Aimee has successfully argued numerous cases in front of the Nebraska Court of Appeals and Nebraska Supreme Court. In 2013, Aimee was elected to the Omaha City Council for District 7 and re-elected in 2017. She is a familiar face in Douglas, Sarpy, and Cass counties. Aimee takes satisfaction from working to improve the community both as a representative for the City of Omaha, and as an experienced and well respected attorney.

Lisa is also known for her aggressive defense of her clients as well as her knowledge of the law and how it pertains to their situation. She advocates for the rights and well-being of her clients and that of their children and the elderly. She has a reputation for being a very fair negotiator and communicator with other lawyers and judges, which streamlines and expedites the process. Lisa acts with compassion and understanding, while detailing in great depth the reality of the legal process and true expectations of the court process. She hopes that by being open and honest and communicative, her clients can move past this often difficult and emotional process efficiently to live the life they were meant to lead. Lisa is a licensed attorney, with a Master’s Degree in Business Administration (MBA), and a Bachelor’s Degree in Spanish Language and Literature. She has litigated multiple bench and jury trials in civil and criminal court for the Mendes Weed law firm of San Francisco. Lisa is an active member of the Contra Costa County Bar Association (CCCBA), specifically in the Family Law, Women’s, Tax and Estate Planning Sections. Lisa has written multiple articles for the Contra Costa Lawyer Magazine. She is a member of the Robert G. McGrath Inn of Court. Lisa advocates for proposed legislation and new laws as a member of the Contra Costa County Delegation of the California Conference of Bar Associations.

Eric S. Meredith is a founding partner at Jetton & Meredith and, with his business partner, established the law firm of Jetton & Meredith upon graduating from law school, where he has been practicing law since that time. Mr. Meredith focuses his practice exclusively on cases related divorce and family law, child custody, child support, post-separation support and alimony, equitable distribution and all other areas involving family law and domestic law. Mr. Meredith has received many awards and recognition for his work in the area of divorce and family law. Mr. Meredith and the firm of Jetton & Meredith have been the subject of various publications in the Charlotte Business Journal, Triad Business Journal, and South Charlotte Living Magazine.
