Attorney Carol Barnes has been licensed to practice law since 1995. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree at California State University in 1990 and her Juris Doctor from Regent University of Law in 1994. Prior to practicing law, Ms. Barnes was a jury consultant who assisted attorneys impaneling juries in complex civil litigation. Additionally, Ms. Barnes carries a number of prestigious certifications. After passing numerous financial examinations, she attained certification as a Financial Divorce Analyst. She has completed workshops at Harvard University Law School and attained certification as a Divorce Mediator and Negotiator. She is a former court appointed special advocate for children and a court appointed guardian ad litem. Ms. Barnes is one of a handful of attorneys in the United States who successfully completed the esteemed American Bar Association Family Law Trial Advocacy Institute on trial testimony and expert witness. Ms. Barnes opened her own law firm in 2006.

Keith’s experience representing clients in the financial services industry as a litigation, compliance, regulatory, investigations (internal and regulatory), and enforcement attorney spans 20 years. Keith represents clients against government regulators (CFPB, FTC, SEC, CFTC), industry regulators (FINRA), and private litigants in federal courts, state courts, and before arbitration and administrative law panels in the financial services industry. Keith advises payment processors, money transmitters, payments apps, and similar companies on compliance with federal and state money services business laws. He advises cryptocurrency exchanges and NFT platforms on state and federal money transmission law compliance and regulatory issues, and also represents these companies in lawsuits and government enforcement actions. Keith regularly writes and lectures about hot topics in the financial services industry, focusing on issues that include the latest developments in payments and those related to the FTC and CFPB. After graduating from The University of Santa Clara he went to law school at The University of California Hastings College of the Law. Case's legal career began in 2004 in San Francisco where he worked for a civil litigation firm which specialized in Insurance defense litigation and bankruptcy law. In September of 2005, Case joined the Orange County Public Defender's Office. During his five years at the Public Defender's Office, he represented clients at each of Orange County's criminal courthouses including the Juvenile Justice Center. Case has litigated countless criminal cases including felony and misdemeanor driving under the influence, third strike cases, assault and battery, felony and misdemeanor domestic violence cases, felony drug possession and possession for sale, sex cases including rape, child molestation, sexual assault and indecent exposure, large scale theft cases and attempted murder. After leaving the Public Defender’s Office, Case went into private practice with his father. His interest in helping injured clients pushed him to transition from criminal defense to representing plaintiffs in personal injury and elder abuse litigation. After 5 years practicing both criminal defense and personal injury cases Case decided to establish an independent law firm that is dedicated to protecting the rights of victims throughout California. In 2015 Case Barnett Law Corporation was founded. Civil litigation now comprises over 90% of the firm's work. Case's experience in front of juries facing seemingly insurmountable odds serves him well in his representation of plaintiffs. His fearless approach to law and his desire to go to trial have earned him the respect of his peers.
