Erick M. Barbare is a graduate of Appalachian State University (2001) and the University of South Carolina School of Law (2004). While in law school, Erick participated in the Environmental Law Clinic and was a law clerk at the Korn Law Firm and Callison, Tighe and Robinson. After graduating from law school, Erick had the honor of serving as judicial law clerk for the Honorable James W, Johnson, Jr., former circuit judge of South Carolina’s Eighth Judicial Circuit. Throughout is legal career, Erick has focused on helping individuals and families through difficult times and focuses his practice on Family Court and personal injury matters. Erick handles divorces, child custody cases, child support matters and adoptions, as well as automobile accidents and other injury cases. After attending the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa, the University of Alabama in Birmingham and graduating with a Bachelor of Science from Auburn University in Montgomery, Judy graduated magna cum laude from the Thomas Goode Jones School of Law in 1992 and received her Juris Doctor degree. Judy began practicing law as a sole practitioner, and then in 1993 she became a Deputy District Attorney for the Fifteenth Judicial Circuit in Montgomery County. In 1994 Judy originated the Montgomery County Task Force on Domestic Violence with Judge Lynn Bright, which brought major and continuing reforms to the way domestic violence cases are handled in Montgomery County. In that same year, she co-founded the Sexual Assault Response Team in Montgomery County, which radically reformed the criminal justice system’s response to victims of rape, sodomy, and other sexual assault crimes. Judy participated as a member of the Multi-Disciplinary Teams, which handled child abuse and child sexual abuse allegations and crimes. On many occasions and for many agencies and organizations throughout her career, Judy has been asked to share her knowledge and expertise through training programs and presentations with fellow attorneys in Alabama, Louisiana, and on a national faculty, as well as with mental health professionals, social workers, and various law enforcement agencies on various topics of law.

Attorney Carol Barnes has been licensed to practice law since 1995. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree at California State University in 1990 and her Juris Doctor from Regent University of Law in 1994. Prior to practicing law, Ms. Barnes was a jury consultant who assisted attorneys impaneling juries in complex civil litigation. Additionally, Ms. Barnes carries a number of prestigious certifications. After passing numerous financial examinations, she attained certification as a Financial Divorce Analyst. She has completed workshops at Harvard University Law School and attained certification as a Divorce Mediator and Negotiator. She is a former court appointed special advocate for children and a court appointed guardian ad litem. Ms. Barnes is one of a handful of attorneys in the United States who successfully completed the esteemed American Bar Association Family Law Trial Advocacy Institute on trial testimony and expert witness.
