Anna Koontz
Distinguished Lawyer
Family and Divorce Law

301 Yamato Rd, Boca Raton, FL 33431, USA

Anna’s journey into law began unexpectedly. Despite her background in Animal and Nutritional Sciences, a single elective course in Law and Legal Studies at West Virginia University sparked a newfound passion. After graduation, Anna enrolled at Nova Southeastern University Shepard Broad College of Law, where she went on to complete her legal studies. During her time in law school, Anna participated in student organizations, served on the board, and honed her skills in mock trials and moot court competitions. But her dedication to family law went beyond academics. As an intern at the Innocence Project of Florida, she contributed to the exoneration of wrongfully convicted individuals. She also gained practical experience working as a law clerk for prominent firms, specializing in personal injury, insurance defense, and family law, particularly focusing on high-profile divorce cases involving celebrities and high-net-worth individuals. When it comes to family law, Anna often finds herself drawing from her own childhood experience of her parent’s divorce. The personal connection allows her to empathize with clients, understanding their struggles at a profound level. Within her role at Yaffa Family Law Group, Anna engages directly with clients and opposing counsel, leveraging her expertise to strategically navigate cases. From meticulous legal research to crucial meetings, hearings, and depositions, Anna is instrumental in setting the stage for every case’s success. When Anna’s not working on a case, she enjoys riding and showing horses competitively. Although she enjoys the “city life” of South Florida, Anna often visits her family’s 200-acre Christmas tree farm in West Virginia where she helps out and cares for the farm animals.
