I was not one of the lucky people who know from a very early age exactly what they want to be when they grow up. Through the process of maturing, working and going to college, I knew that I had a keen interest in making people’s lives better, but was not really sure how. After I graduated from college, I worked for two years in a wholesale warehouse. I worked with people from many different backgrounds and learned a lot about real life problems. I decided that becoming a lawyer would be a way to use my abilities in a meaningful and fulfilling way. During law school, I worked as a paralegal in the Brooklyn District Attorney’s office. After graduation, I was appointed an Assistant District Attorney in Kings County. After four years as an ADA I joined a small practice in Brooklyn and did extensive court appointed criminal defense for those who could not afford private counsel. After some years in Brooklyn, my family life took me out to Denver, Colorado where I practiced law for fifteen years, including family law, consumer bankruptcy, personal injury and general practice. Moving back to New York after many years away, I worked for four years at a personal injury firm in Brooklyn, while also doing some general practice work for the firm. Finding a position at Sobo & Sobo has been a great opportunity for me to focus on personal injury cases and work one on one with my clients. With the excellent help of dedicated paralegals, I focus on each client and strive to give them the highest level of personal attention. For me, each client’s case is a unique and special journey. My greatest satisfaction is achieving the best result for my client.
