Jaime A. Gonzalez, Esq., was born and raised in San Jose, CA. As a native, he attended San Jose State University where he obtained a Bachelor's degree in Psychology in 1995. He then went on to earn his Juris Doctor degree from Santa Clara University School of Law in 2001, all while actively working as a San Jose police officer. Jaime brings forward his law enforcement expertise to family law. He has over 27 years of experience probing criminal and related family law matters and navigating the complexities of the criminal court system. He is a former San Jose Police sergeant, detective, and training officer who has worked all types of criminal cases, including murder, mayhem, robbery, rape, kidnap, and other major crimes. Jaime is an experienced and dedicated professional with a proven track record of success. He has conducted thousands of criminal investigations with scores of confessions and corroborating evidence to ensure successful prosecutions. Throughout his police career, Jaime has helped countless families find justice and closure. He has extensive knowledge in managing and examining domestic violence and child abuse cases, as well as restraining order violations which often surface in family law matters. Simpson's Dream Team attorneys, Mr. Gerald Uelman, who played a critical role in the jury verdict and outcome. After receiving his law degree from Santa Clara University, Jaime went on to hone his skills by working in family law alongside a former Santa Clara County family law court judge. He later carried this judicial insight and applied it while working at a top-tier family law firm in San Jose. While at the John Marshall Law School, Tricia worked as an intern for the Illinois Attorney General's Office in the consumer fraud division and as a Supreme Court Rule 711 clerk for the Chicago Legal Clinic. While at the Chicago Legal Clinic, Tricia began assisting clients with family law cases, including divorces and Orders of Protection, as well as child support enforcement. This allowed her an opportunity to appreciate the needs of her clients and to appear in the Cook County Domestic Relations division regularly. After two years of practice primarily in Cook County, Tricia began practicing in Kane, DuPage, Kendall and DeKalb counties and has built an excellent reputation with judges and opposing attorneys. Since 2002, Tricia's practice has been solely concentrated in family law and domestic relations, including but not limited to complex financial cases, issues of maintenance, contested custody litigation, and appeals.
